Yes it does belong to someone on here but I can't remember who. I used to own this car several years ago and I can tell you it has crazy power. Tuned V8 develeopments engine etc. I don't know why it hasn't sold yet. I can only assume people think its an ordinary 350 SE with an ordinary 3.9. Also I believe a lot of money has been spent on this car since my ownerdhip to bring it to the top condition it's in now. Though it seems a lot of money, in actual fact I think it's a bargain considering what has been spent, and it's rare too. Maybe not for the purist who wants orriginallity, but for someone who wants fun, it can't be beaten.

Hi Guys SE no9 is mine

Only one of No 9 check Andy Tanks past posts on the remaining SE's

Was going to the States to share a garage with a 280 - The worry of the replacement engine serial no with US customs and EPA proved one hurdle too many for the potential owner....

So back up for sale

Cheers

Ade

It is my fault it is back up for sale frown

With the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules here in the USA there is significant risk with importing a vehicle that has a replacement engine, even if it is the same configuration, and even if the vehicle is 25+ years old.

I have complete confidence in this car. Another PH member and Wedge owner took a look for me for a second opinion and he had great things to say too. Ade, the seller, has been nothing but courteous, honest, and a gentleman. He sent me a good amount of pics and a video. Such a beautiful and well sorted Wedge but it is a shame the laws here do not want to allow such vehicles in. Someone needs to buy this thing.

That's a ridiculously low price. What a fine car! Too bad we can't have them over here. Grady

Maybe if you add a video of the beast running it will get sold fairly quickly....smile

just re-stamp the engine number on the block. and say you re-fitted original engine. or find the original block, and then fit all the up-rated bits to it.

Was just thinking if it does not have the original engine is it still a 350 se wasnt the whole point of the se the engine. Of course its still a cracking car and well worth the money i would say. What do people think about changing such a limited car.

Obviously it has been modified but is still a 3.9 which differentiates the SE from the 350i. It is also very highly tuned as I used to own this car. It will give any SEAC a run for they money. Just trust me, whatever has been done to it, the performance is shattering.

Is there such a thing as an original Wedge?..They are all unique and eventually originality will HAVE to be compromised by necessity if these cars are to continue surviving another 30 years!..Most of the cars that are emphatically kept original will probably end up in private car collections and won't get used much if at all...Not sure that its a good thing as they still deteriorate when not being used..Sometimes more so.

If i was going to buy a Wedge and someone said that the engine has been replaced by something a bit more powerful/Tuned i think i would have an even bigger grin..Lets face it we all talk the talk of more power so why slag it off when its offered???..As long as its been done properly and there is supporting paper work and DVLA are aware of any modifications then whats not to like?....Just my personal opinion mind...Cheers...Ziga

PS: IIRC wasn't the original engine in this car beyond a rebuild?..

In MHO and past owners agree this is a great and honest car with a massive history file. She has been cherished by previous owners. When I bought her she had been for sale for a long time. (Why) Perhaps the whale tail? GONE - The engine - To reiterate Elvis the engine is fantastic. Pulls like a train screams like banshee fast as a SEAC. The history is impeccable as is the condition. 3 ring binders of history! £28K spend. Condition and provenance has been verified by a well-respected TVR Club member and wedge owner
Our friends the other side of the pond obviously have great taste. Shane I dearly wish we could make t fit. SE N09 and your 280 would be best friends.
Beggar’s belief why no proper UK “wedge-a-phile” has come to view. North Lincs is not the end of the world.
The numpty’s keep crawling out of the swamp. No I don’t want a Corsa or a sad Evo and the body is fibre glass not steel….. Mate!
Would dearly like her to go to a good home and be driven regularly and kept in the life style she is accustomed to. I spent over £2K on her end of 2015. So no worries there.
To be totally honest spring is around the corner and she may well stay at Walker Towers. BBWF 2016 which happens to be a big birthday weekend perhaps here I come. Cake with 50 candles please
