I'm probably going to have to "Bite The Bullet" and buy a fuel accummulator. Are all the Bosch units the same? As I've observed that some for sale have no small pipe connection at the rear although they look the same as I have at present. I'm assuming that if they for a Bosch Jetronic system they're compatable with the 2.8i engined Wedges? Thanks for any info' Cheers J C.

Yes the third pipe is a breather which is supposed to connect back to the fuel tank. I presume that the breather pipe will have to be sealed somehow

third pipe is there in case the diaphragm inside the accumulator fails. my old accum. didn't have one but the replacement does. I plumbed it to the breather on my swirl pot, leaving the fuel return line from the K Jet to go back to the tank. KMI have them and they're cheaper than OEM.

Thanks for the replies. Steve at KMI has supplied me a replacement with a rear breather pipe. He is of the opinion that there's no difference between the two units. With the breather pipe, some vent back to the tank others into the swirl pot. Thanks. John C.
