Hi all, After a couple of years of looking I have gone and got one. She is a heavily modified 350i, in black the engine currently removed, is a 4.6, cross bolted, The previous owner removed the engine to swap the gearbox., he was taken ill and sadly passed away a couple of years ago he and his wife had owned the car since 1995.. During this time much work has been carried out, The things I know of so far include polybushed front and back, suspension upgrade and brakes.upgraded.. and new wheels and tyres. I will try and get photos of the work done, I have no idea what parts have been used, if anyone could advise me on what they are , it would be useful to know. Hopefully, everything crossed, the engine will be going back in this weekend., any tips & advice most welcome.
Cheers

Hi Martin, welcome to Wedge world - and the joys and frustrations that go with it. I think there was an earlier post on the car you've bought. This was the one on the TVR-CC for sale board - Sounds a good project and it would be great to see some photos? Don't forget BBWF in early July if you fancy seeing a whole variety of Wedges and how they all differ! Cheers Keith

Hi mate and welcome...Thats sad news about a fellow Wedger...Not sure if we knew him?...Look forward to some pics of the beast...You will get as much help as you need on here, There are books that will help you and there is some info at the top of this forum page.

Some good advice surrounding these cars is obtainable in various books and site if needed...In fact will be needed...smile

If you have an issue then make sure you are methodical in your testing and elimination...Do NOT scattergun and change loads of parts all at once...

The main part of Wedge ownership is enjoying it...Making new friends and being part of something special.

Welcome to the mad world of Wedges...

Hi Martin

Welcome. A mate of mine was actually going to view that car but something came up. Sounded like a right beast 300bhp at the wheels.

I was so tempted to have a look myself but just couldn't get to Yeovil.

Fingers crossed its as good as it sounded. Did you find any paperwork?

Regards Karl.

Welcome on board. if it hasn't been driven much for a long time it could have quite old tyres on it. Wedges can be a bit "bitey" if you're not used to them and old hard rubber doesn't help with all that power, a new set of tyres would be a wise investment.

Hi All many thanks for the replies, words of welcome, and advice , which has been taken onboard..Yes, as mentioned its the car that was advertised on the TVR CLUB, classifieds
Former owners name was John Atkinson. I do have some paper work, consisting of a huge file of receipts, and the handbook.
Cheers

I really like that it looks a cracker. Not seen a wedge with that style of wheel before and it suits the car. Well done you.

Welcome! Good looking car, but your drive is way too neat, needs to get oil added.

It's now your sacred duty to increase the size of the "huge file of receipts"! laugh
