Reassembled the 350 last week after changing the head gaskets but was unable to test drive due to the mot expiring whilst off the road so it was off to the mot station first thing this morning
Good news all round - MOT passed with no advisories and the car performed well on the 15mile round trip to the station and back - temp remained stable and there's no loss of coolant so it looks like the head gasket change has been successful
I'm now ready to enjoy another glorious English summer smile
Hope to see some of you next week on the run out to Deal classic car show

Excellent news - all we need now is some more nice weather. Wet and horrible today in Herefordshire.

Nice one Ron ... We are planning on meeting at the A2/M services next Sunday just past the ice Rink turn off (Gillingham) times to be confirmed

Good stuff - I remember when I put composite gaskets on the 350i after a few years of putting up with coolant loss and burping - it was a revelation to see it stay in there and the catch tank remain bone dry!
