Hahaha what would I do without you Mark?
When the door is shut the angular part of the glass when fully raised has a gap between that and the seal, this is the one for the moment I speak of.
She`s back with me now so gonna have a butchers around her tonight :-)
If its the bit where....I tell you what check my latest post about targa seals and tell me if its the bit thats poking out at the top of the glass against door seal.....When the door is shut the angular part of the glass when fully raised has a gap between that and the seal, this is the one for the moment I speak of.

Hey Mark
Your quite correct it is the pokey out seal you speak of.
Still have the old window door seal too to sort.
Thought as much...Thats where mine leaks...Once i get this sample and test it then hopefully we can all replace the seal for something that does what it should do...It will need a bit of trimming but i will give a rough guide...Your quite correct it is the pokey out seal you speak of.

Woolies, Vintage Supplies, Edgeware Motors all do the various seals.
They do mate but no-one seem to of even seen this one before or know what it was from...After scanning probably over 2,000 pictures of seals and extrusions i decided that the original probably came from outer space...After all it does resemble an alien ship...A little bit...

Having rummaged around all three sites I mentioned, I concur it does look a bit obscure. Mind you Vintage Supplies seem to have drastically cut back on what they used to list (I am going back to the 90s here so it could be they've used up old stock and not sourced any more).I wonder if it might have been a marine application.

Hi Ian...I have checked...All Automotive seals...Marine seals...Train seals...Bus seals...Coach seals...Sliding door seals...Windscreen seals...Ive even asked an Eskimo if he had seen any seals like it...His wife turned and said ..."Shami shuma pila polak tut tut" ...So i said..."Sorry can't eat Walrus its too fattening"....So after bordering on madness i have come to the conclusion they must of been a TVR special....I wonder if it might have been a marine application.

Actually looking down on it again its starting to resemble a baby elephant with a giant foot print on its back...Im off to bed......
You are holding it upside down.
Its a fat girl with pigtails on a bike.
...I thought an Elephant would be more PC...
....I was advised to ask some of the trimmers as they may have some...However most i have spoken to haven't even seen it before...
...Just love to know what it was from, I have looked at hundreds and hundreds of pictures/Profiles of trim from 1950 onwards..Nothing....Don't suppose you sussed it....
Tried the solution that the S...Chim and Griff did but no good...Cheers...Ziga
