header tank S2 350

Hi I need a good header tank .Is it from a rover sd1 .Any help would be good .Mike s2 350

Hi Mike....


I do have an expansion tank that I'm intending on repairing after it was bodged by a so called specialist....They were originally from the 2.8i Ford Capri mk3....They are getting harder to find but people have retro fitted Mercedes...I think maybe Ford focus.....

What is wrong with yours?

Hi Ziga .It has a small split at the top of t he expansion tank .Repaired by last owner.Showed my mate the car .He said it might loose pressure .Mike

Best bet then really is to look at some of the other expansion tanks...As long as they have a 15mm ..10mm...9mm...I think outlets/Inlets then it should be fine...Of course as long as it fits under the bonnet and can be mounted with the existing mounts...And holds around 1.5ltrs.....
I had a good spare from mine but helped another Wedge out, I have his one which has a small split on the bottom outlet which is repairable/Sleeved as well...If the main body of yours is splitting then theres not much you can do...I know a friend used a Merc one but I'm not sure which....

My top keeps coming off mine as its just push on .never had a problem with it
