Nice 280i on ebay

Yes the V8 does make a nice sound and they are very fast but the V6 wedges are quick enough for me especially compared to something like an MX5 or MGB, i like the sound the V6 makes also and they do have a nice gear change thanks to ford, but each to there own the V8 makes a good car choice also, good luck in finding one.
Agreed Martin. My 2.8i is now on the road, that Cologne engine is surprisingly quick. My gearbox is perfect, in fact one of the smoothest I've driven certainly better than my Chim' However it seem to have a rotating noise in any gear even in neutral/coasting. Not excessive by any means. Thought it was a front wheel bearing, changed no difference. Is this a traint of the 5 speed boxes? I appreciate that you're virtually sat on top of the transmission. Sorry for the diversion in subject. J C.
Hi...
Well having owned a V6 which i still love in my heart i can say that owning a V8 is not much more expensive..My insurance only went up by £80 and i don't
use any more fuel...I spent 5K on Delilah getting her to a drivable condition..(Pre-SC) and have spent the same on Poppy....
When i picked Poppy up and then drove Delilah afterwards there was a considerable difference in the torque however there was only 10 mph difference in the total top speeds...However the SPG was the same..

Hi John, No this is not a trait of the 5 speed box but sounds like it could be a wheel bearing i had this problem on my euro box car before they are very hard to find to which wheel has it even if you think its the front wheel chances are it could be any of them the only way to find which one is to take it to a garage on some ramps then turn each wheel mine turned out to be the tyre itself needed changing.
