Whilst out walking the dog with the wife in Haddenham today I had a bit of a surprise, a red wedge burbled past us (hello to whoever that was)!

That wedge is the first one I have actually seen on the road outside of car shows and it got me wondering whether anyone has more common surprise encounters with wedges where they live?

Three wedges in Western Australia AFAIK: My 280i, a 350I and a 390SE. So that's a bit under 900,000 square KMs each.

My strangest one was being driven around in Holland. I was there on business and the chap I was visiting, Sjoerd, was driving me in his BMW 3-series to the test labs.

We were driving down a dual carriageway possibly between Amsterdam and Utrecht in 2003. My memory is hazy due to having visited a coffee shop the night before ;^)

The conversation got around to what car do I drive, and I was just about to explain what a wedge-shaped TVR was, when one came the other way on Dutch plates. It was a creamy-white sort of colour.

So I just said "Like that one, Sjoerd, but in grey!" Made my day.
