Right. Am I correct that the inboard brakes are from an XJS 6 car. So the callipers, pads, discs and handbrake mech are all XJS 6 items.

Also does anyone have a handbrake cable?

Correct, think e-type is also the same. Caliper with attached handbrake caliper, pads are all jag items but not sure the cable is.

Am sure Richard Thorpeat RT was selling off handbrake cables, think they all sold though

And XJS as well iirc. Not sure if you already know, but after backing of the cable adjuster, the pads are positioned using the large slot headed adjuster bolts on each caliper- they should have a split pin in them which needs removal. Screw in until the pads bite the discs then back out until the split pin holes align. Check for binding and then adjust the cable.

Agree with the method above but it's hadly ever necessary to adjust the cable - just do it on the adjusters and re-apply a few times to bed it in.

TVR Parts have them listed - and I am going there tomorrow - so I may just buy new. Still cheaper than an S handbrake cable.
