Just wondering what kind of power other 400se's are making from their NCK's . I had mine on the rolling road and it made this . Is it about right ??

If that's at the wheels then it should shift... 220bhp is typical for a fit 400SE, as I recall, but whether that's fly or wheels I'm unsure - I suspect flywheel figure.
What does the fuelling look like? Most RV8s are like a map of the Andes.

Flywheel I think , I don't have a printout of the fueling at the mo , but am thinking of getting my ECU rebuilt ! I,ve been told it can make a huge difference .

My view is that that's not the case. If it's not broke don't fix it! Mark Adams says that with a larger AFM and upgraded ECU it makes another 12 bhp but that's more down to the fact that the bigger AFM and associated injectors can squirt in more air/fuel. I'd leave your ECU well alone.

Hi kkson ,
Sorry I should have explained better. I,m not getting the ecu sorted for power reasons but more refurbed by a specialist company recommended to me . I,ve heard that they sort all the dry joints and stuff that can cause phantom symtoms on the car.

Okay good luck with that Stuart. The ECU on my 390SE was rebuilt by a company called ACT as the previous owner was having engine issues - turned out that it was nothing to do with the ECU and dry joints. It was the camshaft. I've heard several horror stories of ECU's getting trashed due to poor re-soldering. Cheers Keith

it's probably there or there abouts, as a comparison

Previous tvrs I've owned and put on the rollers (all flywheel)
4.0 chim 220 ish
4.3 chim 260 ish
350 wedge 190 ish
2 x 420SE wedge's both did 287 ish

There can be a lot of variable on RR so use it more as a guide vs number hunting. As long as the fuelling is good at all throttle positions then leave well alone lol

OR

If you want more power then tweak away £££ :-)

I think mine was 241bhp at the wheels but it was a hot day so a little down on power compared with a nice frosty morning!

If I'm not mistaken last time I saw under your bonnet there was a rather sexy supercharger bolted to your engine sir.

Like many of us here, Adam has owned more than one TVR.

They are an addiction. Beware.
