havig just fitted a fse power boost valve i thought i share what i learned. you set valve pressure to around 38 psi, engine not running afm flap open to run fuel pump(38psi} release flap there will be a drop in fuel pressure my tvr dropped by 6 psi. if it drops to 0. open flap to run pump use something to pinch off the return fuel line (1 second) as the new fse sometimes sticks repeat till you get a reading around 30 psi when pump is not running (flap closed). then start the engine the fuel pressure reading when fully warm ticking over at about 900 rpm should be around 26 psi. this is the way recommended by RPI and TORNADO. although some one told me at rpi that he thought the new fse valves don't old pressure when not running. this is incorrect as Mark Adams told me about pinching off the return fuel line. this fixed my fse valve. fuel pressure should stay up and drop slowly after engine is off over a period of time.you should then maybe have it tweaked on a rolling road by a pro as i hope to do in the near future..

I fitted one to the 350i the other year - appeared to make a big difference at low end acceleration however when I stuck it on the BBWF rolling road it had actually lost a couple of bhp compared with the original Lucas regulator.

Keith the rolling was showing really low numbers for cars that had been dyno'd ..Even at the Griffgrowl...I know of a couple of cars that had rolling road sessions a day or two before and when put on the one at the BBWF they were showing up to a loss of 20bhp difference..I know most rolling roads differer between them but I think some re-calibration may be needed or maybe some new parts...smile
