As I have a bit of time on my hands I thought I would tackle a few of those 'little' jobs that we all mean to do and never get around to. So here are the questions:

* Want to replace the cracked / tatty number plates how are they attached no screws visable?

* Front TVR badge cannot see / reach the back of the badge is there a bolt?

* Passengers side electric mirrow how do you take it apart as there are 2 holes on it but cannot see any screws etc?

Thanks in advance

Chris

My plates were stuck on. Sliped a stanly blade up to cut the sticker pads.

Think I felt (pnar pnar) the nut on mine wilst fettling the front bib spoiler. In the cavity above said spoiler infront of the rad.

Given up on the mirroe. Pushed to what I find suitable.

Hi Chris,

Number plates are held on with double sided trim fixing tape.

The bonnet badge is secured by two nuts to the reverse. When I took my front number plate off, there was an oval hole in the bumper. You may be able to access the nuts from there, or alternatively from underneath, between the rad. and the grill.

The mirrors are secured in the pods with 2 small, usually cross head self tappers. They're set quite deep, but once there out you can remove the mirror/motor assembly, after disconnecting the 4 spade terminal connections.

We never did get around to getting together - are you out anywhere this weekend?

Paul.

just replaced my badges with his spec Leven ones - they look the business.

Access to the bolts is a little tight what with the front air dam and radiator although it all depends how long your arms are!.

The mirrors are indeed held together by the small screws that hold the bezel on but they will be rusty and a mare to undo and will most certainly need replacing after you manage to dig 'em out of the rust.

The number plates wil most certainly be sticky strips. Also I found my rear number plate to be a non standard size. I had to trim a few mm's off the rear one to get it to fit.

As with anything on these cars everyone of the jobs that you are going to attempt will take ages - have fun.....

I just changed my petrol pipe as the last lot had just turned into a sprinkler!!!!! Check yours as well just to be on the safe side.

I had braided hose and the pipe underneath had just crumbled to nothing!!!

I will also be attempting door veneer strip upgrade number two this weekend.
