280i Series 1 Fuses

My reversing lights are not working. All seems well around the lights themselves so I now turn my attention to the fuse. My car is a 1983 series 1. It has the fuses under the dash next to the relays, not in the glovebox. There are 18 fuses - 3 rows of 6 fuses. They are the modern design with two prongs, not the oblong with exposed metal strips.
Does anyone have a diagram showing not just the fuses, but what each one covers please? Plenty of diagrams around for later fuseboards but not this one. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Quite a few of the diagrams follow the same format.
Number 8 on the 390SE is the reverse fuse on its own so you won't get any clues there.
Number 7 is the foot brake and number 9 is the guages, so if you can identify those two by pulling one at a time, likely number 8 is in between the two and could be your target.

Thanks guys. The car is currently away awaiting a new fuel filler hose - very strong gas smell (and leak) after I topped up gas tank, which of course penetrated from garage to basement and basement upstairs to living area. Strangely this was not welcomed by those nearest and dearest.......!!
Have a great friend who works on classics and classic racers who is sorting the leak. Then I can get back to checking out fuses and reverse switch. Your suggestions most helpful - thanks. I will report on progress.

back on topic I would be looking at the reverse switch first, then trying to trace which fuse, TVR wiring varies from car to car almost!

Well the car is back minus gas leak (fuel filler hose). I've also found the answer to my own question! Page 18 of the series 1 owners' manual (seen on the TVRccNA site) shows the fuses and relays. It shows the same fuse deals with reverse lights and wipers. Since the wiper works, the fuse is OK. So I need next to check the reverse switch as you recommended.

Life is full of surprises. I decided to clean both reverse light fittings and contacts. I then turned on the ignition, placed stick in reverse and........ they both came on. Great, but........ when I moved out of reverse they stayed on! In fact they are both on full-time when the ignition is on! Wiring to the lights is OK - I haven't connected the wrong wires or anything like that. Looks like a faulty switch so I await a replacement from Bill at Dominion Spares.
