Grr.....My car has been at Offords for a while having some work done. New rad, shocks, steering bush, mot, service etc...
The car was finished 18/3, and i drove it the short distance home....awesome..what a difference, it even sounded different.
I then immediately flew out to Portugal early the following morning for 2 weeks hols...
So, having got home this saturday..weather was good, and i was desperate for a blat
Problem...yep, battery...flat as roadkill..
No charger either as i lent it to a mate..!!!!!!
sigh
Mind you, it did give me a chance to have a look over the car and i noticed a few drops of fluid either side (inside) of the rear wheels. The fluid (looked like oil) was covered on the inside of the tyres too..centrifuged outwards. I will call Offords today for their opinion, anyone else have an idea??

Cheers Ian, that's what i initially thought..but the shocks look dry..?
I have just called them, usual drill..bring it in etc etc...when i can start it.
An idea of leaking diff was mentioned, which can't be right as surely that would drip in the middle, or maybe drive shafts? (new uj's recently fitted too)

I always carry a set of good quality jump leads in the car.
Oh, and my AA card, but haven't had to use that yet - touch wood.
Forgot to mention.
Sh** does happen.
During my run out on Saturday I felt a bump on the back of the car, and then some 'odd' handling.
Needless to say, I returned home very slowly.
Upon closer examination it appeared that one of my recently fitted (not by me) flashy adjustable shockers - a rear one, had detached itself at the top mounting.
Only the new spring was holding the car up!
Fortunately the thread hadn't been stripped, and I was able to refit the unit - properly.
No names, no pack drill.
