Been working on my S1 again tonight, putting some new earth links in.

It was a surprise ( or maybe it shouldn't be) to see how the passenger side fuel tank was earthed, two bolts holding the bracket on and an earth lead loosely put onto a steel band( see pic), this would also be the earth for the fuel pump tray.
Going to re-do it with the earth strap bolted on to the bolt.

Also, both the fuel tanks are alloy, is this normal?

That's how my earth straps looked. I can't see why the tanks need an earth, the fuel sender unit has an independent earth (on mine anyway).

Alloy tanks? Lucky you thumbup

I'll make the earth the same as it was then, if it's normal!

Did all the S1's not have Alloy tanks then?

Mine are steel and soldered. Another anomaly, as opposed to an alloy laugh
