Hi peeps

I know that the rear Wedge hubs are Granada mk2 but does that also apply to the splined axle?...If not does anyone know what they were from please...

Many thanks

They look to be the same as Jag XJS/6?

Really? I thought they were TVR specials but if you've got some Jag drawings showing them I'll be pleasantly surprised. It'll be great to have a second source.

This looks promising (see pics on post #15) so maybe only a subset of jags:

Fingers crossed that they aren't as rare as hen's teeth by now too...

Hallo Zigga,

The rear driveshaft is a TVR special.
They used the driveshaft from a Jaguar and the splined shaft from a Granada MK2 which they welded together.
I know because I had a failure on a drivershaft. Still had a stubaxle in stock. They cut it off and rewelded,
Very specialised job. I had it done by a company that makes/ restores driveshafts.

Interesting...Thank you Hans...smile

From the little bit of research that I have done I have gathered info that they were made by GKN for TVR...But then another reliable source says early XJ6 or even late ‘E’ Type..

Hopefully I won't need one...

Guys don't forget there are two types,, the 350i has the smaller ones and 400se and up have the larger ones for larger drive shafts and UJs. If anyone is interested I have a pair of the larger and a spare smaller one as well.

That's true but the bearing and splined end is the same, so they must have "cut and shut" from three different cars in total!

Hi Glen, do you still have the smaller 350i ones?
