Replaced rear calipers and pads today.
Up on ramps with an expert hand in a workshop.....thank Christ ""
What a job that would have been with the rear end up....nigh on impossible.
As you can imagine, everything practically welded closed.
And he had the kit and know how to replace some pipes.....what an arse they are.
Handbrake adjusted too, so she stops well now.
Used Bigg red for refurb end calipers.....excellent service, and I get to send my old one back to get £100 refunded.....cracking.
Why get a kit yourself ?????
She goes.....she stops.......

Yep another thumbs up for big red. Very impressed with them last time I used them.
I've had the pleasure of Wedge rear brakes on three occasions (Two 350i's and a 390se). On the drive with wheel ramps. I hope it's a long time before I have to do that again. What a CRAP job. Without doubt if your bushes need attention its easiest to drop the whole diff carrier. Bit of a task if your bushes are good though.

ELECGLD is almost certainly for the finish, electroplated yellowish (gold) finish.
BRC51648 seems to be for a pair of calipers. BRC51649 is not found on site search.
Anyhoo, will ring'em up and see what they say.

Yeah that makes sense.
I am posting my old set back for the £100 refund tomorrow.
BTW, he asked me if its the set that the handbrake caliper bolts to.....and it is.
However, those numbers should get you the product.
Be funny if you get my old set refurbed.
One thing i think would have been good to include was the pad pins with the retaining clip.
Wasn't a problem for me, but would have been neat as i broke a clip and had to scrabble for a replacement.
Stock up on WD40.....you'll need it, and you may have fun getting the pipes off in good enough shape to put back.
Oh and copper grease too and a wire brush will be handy.
Good luck
