How do you get Photobucket to allow looking at pics?

Pay the new extortionate fee or remove all your pics from it and use something else.
Flickr or similar.

Follow these easy steps

1. Hook a finger in each corner of your mouth...
2. Gently pull the corners towards your ears
3. Now say "Bucket" out loud.
4. Repeat a few times
hehe

I use the thumb snap provided by PH...much easier, and the mb limit has been increased...Not by much but enough...smile

I joined Tinypic.

I WAS with photobucket til they asked for $400....

Unfortunately it means a lot of embedded photos in many threads including on here, no longer work. Which I don't understand really because the photos should have actually been uploaded, not just linked to. Unless the way it works was changed.

I just want to see the pictures you guys post on a topic. Not interested in posting other pictures and such.
So I guess the next question is, is there a setting I should change so they show on the forum for me?

No ,nobody can see photobucket pics ,we all get that annoying message telling us to pay up or else.

It's ruined many a thread here and on countless other forums that people posted pics on with photobucket.

No Setting you can change it's a Photobucket change in T&C
Which means Photobucket have blocked access by 3rd party sites to a large proportion of forum pictures
I've used them for years and have photos linked to multiple forums, some I don't even used any more !
Can I be bothered to move 10 years worth of content to another service and find / edit all of the links ? - Erm No.

Botophucket lost my "business" many years ago - I noticed they started some odd behaviour, and also they had a very fascist browser policy - it had to be bang up to date.

So I moved to directupload, but you have to be careful with them too.

There are loads of threads with various picture hosting servers that have lost their pictures - sometimes a user doesn't log in for a while and the account gets expired. Have a look at some of the rebuild threads and you'll see what I mean.

Problem with flickr is that you now can't embed photos in ebay sale pages, which I do frequently. Tinypic uploads in an edited pixel size if you wish ideal for embedding
