Rear roof mech

Anyone removed the rear mechanism ?
Does the fabric have to come off, or an it be done as one part.
Mines a bit rusty and could do with a refurb.

Hi Gavin

It's not that hard a job to do. There are a couple of different ways the rear section is attached to the body, but the bassaclly are the same. The chances of the heads of the bolts not being rust are slim, and that's what can cause you a problem. I will show you next month at the Ace unless somebody has told you more before hand.

My bolts were rusted. In the end, I had to use a dremel and cut the nuts off from inside the boot!

Andy was a great source of advice.
