Does anyone know whether a 350i rear bumper will fit on an early 280i FHC.

My rear bumper is cracked, grazed and generally FUBAR, have considered leaving it off, but the rear end looks abit empty without it...

Any thoughts???

Proper bo, innit.

Should fit, but whether it'll look right... IMHO both the TVR Wedges and the Esprit looked better when the bumpers didn't wrap round the corners.

Naturally I agree

Less wind-resistance too.

ALRIGHT ALREADY, i wont put a 350i rear on it, but what to do, leaving it off leaves a 10" void of slightly curved nothingness, while leaving it on makes the rear look like a cracked and crazed Bubba in Forrest Gump...

Ultimately i'm planning to remove the front bumper too and incorporate the indicators/sidelights into the faired in non-popup lights im planning.

Iain

The rear bumper will fit and will look ok too. You have a bit of work to do to put it on. You'll have to make yr own attachments and cut the bumper to fit the body before prepping it for painting. If your front bumper is the ribbed type you'll have to match it otherwise it will look odd

Hope it goes well

Considering the last 3 1/2 yrs "restoration" on the car a bit of cut and shutting of a bumper throws up no problems!!! Was planning on filling the ribs on the bumper anyway...before i decide to remove it totally!

No a Laguna is a good few inches wider than a Mk3 escort, that bumper went straight on except for detailing round the arches.

Steve, however, is on the ball.

I'll go for Renault 5 front bumper.

The wipers are definately fomoco, but with Motorworld blades.

Hmmm, could be a pile of **** on the other hand you could say that it's the true spirit of TVR. BTW your chassis number ends in FI for fuel injection (a novelty for TVR then) and not F1 and the red powder coating was also used on Wedges.
