'Pootled' down the A325 to see the PiL yesterday mid-morning and on the way back pulled in at Bordon for a top-up of the best go juice. Lo and behold, but The Col was already watching the £ counter on the pump as it wizzed round and round.

After he'd departed (in a roar of sound) and I was paying for my petrol, the cashier remarked that, "You don't see many of those around."

When you consider that fewer than 140 of the 390SEs and 450SEs together were built that's hardly surprising. That two of them should arrive unarranged (I would have said 'unheralded', but Paul said he heard me coming - something the neighbours used to complain about too ... before I took to closing the bedroom window! ) on the same garage forecourt within a couple of minutes of each other is nothing short of unbelievable.

Ooops new Tuscaneer (ex wedger) in Wedge forum! You guys should have mentioned you were in the area (I live about 1.5 miles form said Optimax pump) could have popped in for refreshments (still have the Wedge at present, but someone has put a deposit down today!)

I think he is already on PH as that is where he saw the ad! Be sure I will do good sales pitch on the BBWF! Shame I'm not going to be there now!
