Adjustable wishbones

Am I right in thinking that the SEAC's had some sort of rose joint on the front lower wishbone to allow proper camber adjustment? Does anyone know whether it's possible to convert the standard wishbones? I spoke to RT today and he said that some of the Tazzie racers have an adjustable set-up.

I have developed a set of fully adjustable wishbones that I have currently testing. Tower View will be selling them as soon as I am satisfied that they are OK.
The simple act of sticking a rosejoint on the end actually causes a lot of other problems with the design and I was twisting the bottom wishbone, bending the springs and so on.
My design has about 1 degree camber change over the movement, uses coil over shocks and is fully adjustable for camber, castor etc. It also weighs about 2 kilos lighter than the original set up. Uses the existing mounting points on the chassis.
The 520SE has been cornering at 1.8 to 2 G on the setup so I am quite pleased with the design.

Sounds good, but I've just bought a set of dampers from RT, so was looking at options involving the standard set-up, rather than buying new wishbones, dampers and springs. Presumably the rosejoint option was originally intended for the race cars. I've never seen the SEAC suspension or a drawing - does the rosejoint replace the lower balljoint?

If you want to stick with the standard geometry then I would honestly stay with the standard set up. While having some negative camber is nice , the rosejoint allows the wishbone to twist and this introduces other problems that reduce the effectiveness of the suspension. You can gain camber but introduce all sorts of dynamic effects. The twist prevents the spring and shock from working correctly so the spring bends rather than compresses.
I was running a lot of camber when I had the setup and that improved the handling quite dramatically for sprinting.
The rubber bush is pretty effective at preventing the twist.

The testing turned out fine but there has been little interest to be honest as the conversion is not cheap. Add to that a huge demand for drop links and supercharging the 520 it has dropped down the list. New shocks are required as the old ones will not fit and are the wrong spec. New springs are also needed. An adapter plate is needed for the top mount although welding in a new different mount is the best way here. It does transform the car though. If people are interested, mail me off line and I'll talk with Tower View on this. My gut feel is that the cost is in the £900-1000 mark but you do get new wishbones, shocks, springs etc etc.
