Hi Jon
All the Targa panel seals are now available...
TVR parts do the funny looking one thats on the edge...
https://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-v...
The inner ridge seals that go across behind this one is purely a door seal..
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...
There is a D profile that runs form O/S to N/S on the rear of the panel.

The big chunky ones that the window goes up on are a Jaguar C profile that needs cutting down...I think its either this ATJ1945 or this SRS1907
Hope this helps

Helpfull as always Zig. I spoke to some one at one of the fests but cant remember who and they said they were going to use the system fitted to Griffith/Chimera which used an alloy runner for the rubber seal to sit in and attached to the targa. I have seen the ones on those cars and it looks neat but have no idea how it would work on the wedge. I might have to turn up at TVR meet and ask an owner to show me there's who er misses!!
On my last Chimaera, I changed the hoop seal on the rear section front edge because it was tattered and torn. The one that runs across behind your head and down the sides. This may not apply to wedges of course.
I used bog standard stuff but there was a problem. The TVR stuff must not sit as proud as the generic stuff because after I had fitted it, the window glass (on both sides) would foul on it the last 2 inches of upward travel. I got in the habit of only closing window the last bit with the door open, or pushing ever so slightly on the door glass so that it cleared the rubber seal. One day I forgot and it actually produced a tear in the rubber at the top.

Ziga,
Clearify the location for me in the first to seals you listed above. The others I get but need the queens English explained to me??
The first is the one that was hard to get for years...TVR parts ltd have them and I think Racetech may have also...Clearify the location for me in the first to seals you listed above. The others I get but need the queens English explained to me??
The second is a Hosequip jumbo door seal that goes on to the inner edge of the targa panel...Mind you if you have a 280i panel then you only need an edge trim and then the door seal on the outer edges....
Does that help?

Are both seals for the sides? An inner and an outer?
For my 350i targa top
Hi CharlieFor my 350i targa top
Yes...if you look there is an inner ridge, the door seal goes on here and then the funny shaped one goes on the outer...bear in mind also that they are not fitted the same way round on each side...which is odd...or at least they weren't on mine!...Im sure you will sus it out...
Cheers
Ziga
