Hi,looking to remove dash panel for re-veneering-is there a post which covers this.Have removed S3 panel for similar reason presume it's a rpita! Is the veneer panel just a cover studded through the instrument panel behind. When veneer removed can instruments/car be run as normal? Any info/photos much appreciated.thanks

Dave,
In my '86 280i the dash panel is just a removable piece of veneered wood that covers the panel that the instruments are mounted in. You just grab it at each end and pull it straight out. See https://www.ebay.com/itm/TVR-280i-4-piece-wood-set...

Is yours different than that?

I used L&S Veneering on Queen St in Crewe - it was just a residential house as opposed to a business. That was over 5 years ago but the cost was good and the end product was excellent. I seem to remember the chap showing me a range of different veneers so I could pick the one I liked best.

I think mine was about £195 but I could be wrong - it was the 3 panels for a SEAC. Wanting to lighten up the dark interior I went for a light coloured birds eye maple. Not exactly original but it appeals to me.

Just google "L&S veneering Crewe" and their facebook pages comes up. My dash is there - with the two tone red & grey seats!
