Ebay has a few available, but personally I'm not keen on the supplier.

Seen those, but its not at all like mine.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ERR5210-Remote-Amplifie...
Bought a coil from these guys at the NEC this weekend.
Zig may be right.....it may not be my problem......but my car hesitates when she's hot and that leads me to believe that something is breaking down due to the heat.
was hoping someone had one laying about for me to test the theory....tho most have the amp on the side of the dizzy.

This is the same type I bought about four years ago and no problems since.
Hi Gav.
Just a thought..Have you cleaned the three lots of earths and checked the firmness of the ECU plug?....I still do not think that the ignition amp is the problem as im pretty sure all were 2 pin and fitted to the dizzy, this would mean that your remote one would of been aftermarket..
I would also check the wiring from the dizzy to the amp...Its a long wire so RFI and latency could be a factor...Info received by the ECU might have a millisecond or 5 before data is received.
Please note that I may be talking twaddle...
