Recommendations for rear shocks please
Discussion
My bet is the springs are in need of replacemnt by now - they tend to get an axial bend in them due to the rear geometry. No point in doing the dampers till the springs are right (IMHO of course). I put some new onse on from RT, standard made a huge difference even before the dampers were tweaked. And they are quite reasonably priced too.
Call me stupid if you must
but I don't understand something....
I've been looking for the price of shocks and I came across these "Redline Racing coil over suspension units" in the RT catalogue. Do these replace both the springs and the shocks in one unit?
If so it means all of the suspension forces are sent through just the shock mountings, is this ok? (I assume RT Racing know what they're doing!). I thought the springs and shocks were seperate and the springs mount to the chassis independently from the shocks. I haven't got the car with me today so I can't go outside and have a look.
What do the experts say?

Spoke to Steve Reid this afternoon, what a really nice and helpful guy! Good prices too. Got a complete set (that's all 4) of AVO's for £238 plus the dreaded VAT.
Next fun job will be fitting them. I'm sure it won't be as unpleasant as overfilling the gearbox with oil and getting a mouth full as it overflowed!

Fitted my Avo's this weekend. It wasn't as bad as I expected and I even managed to do the rears without having to cut a hole in the boot floor.
And, what a transformation, handling is much tighter high speed stability is massively improved, only downside is the slow speed ride is a little harsh.
I suppose I could adjust them but I like the high speed performance so much I'll put up with the crashing over bumps & potholes.
