Taking the wedge out for it's first run this year I was stopped by an ex-wedge owning trucker. I'd just filled it up and apparently fuel was coming out of the fuel filler caps round corners.
Looking at the seals inside the filler caps they didn't look too good. Does anyone have any idea what they come from and how to replace them?

I may still have my old one, changed for a shiny Leven one which I can recomend. Nothing wrong with the old one, I just went a bit bling. Assuming it will fit?

Cortina front wishbone, I suspect someone let the accountant out of his box when they specced them. Having spent most of the last week underneath the wedge I think the front subframe is a TVR part. Given that the rack is Cortina, I suspect, despite the bespoke subframe, the geometry is also Cortina, as an easy answer to bumpsteer.
As I understand it the Cortina was never renouned for it's handling prowess. So it's possible transplanting it's roll centre location into a car with lower CG and significantly different weight distribution cured it's ills, or at least raised them to a higher level.
The unique rear geometry gave the opportunity to balance the front suspension.
Regarding A-frame vs Trailing arm (not having looked at an A-frame car) I suspect that kinematically they are very similar. Some minor alterations may have occured like any mid term model update. The difference would be under acceleration, the A-frame can support the hub with much more stablility, so less traction steer. Probably not much of a problem for the original design intent V6, but for the V8 with their ever higher power ratings, it probably was an issue.
Rosejoints - brilliant on track, you need super resilliance to live with them on the road. Similar problem to the latest generation run flat tyres. Less compliance so much of the road surface is nolonger filtered and goes straight into the chassis and the driver. Could lead to fatigue problems.
