master brake cilinder
Discussion
The master brake cilinder of the Tasmin is leaking so we want to replace it. The problem is that we don't know where to get it.
The make on the cilinder says "Girling" and the number is 7456C294-010219 or 7466C294-010219. The inside diameter could be 22 mm and it has 2 connections. It could be from a Triumph TR7
We already contacted some (GOOD!) carpart shops like AOC en VD Peyl (both Dutch) and we also contacted Ford.
Who can help us out?

Hi, the TR7 unit looks like
and appears to be a Lockheed unit.
The prime suspect could be Ford Cortina, especially if it had two spade connecitons to the level switch on the cap. If it has a multipin rubber plug to the level switch then it could be an SD1 item, which were AP/Girling rom 1982 onwards.

Iain

There have been about 7 different master cylinders fitted to these cars over the years. I would guess it is either a TR7 or a Ford Cortina. The Cortina ones have several options including offset mounting holes. The serial numbers usually refer to the cylinder bore/type and not necessarily the actual part number. Might be a good idea to take a piccie and send it over so they can make sure that what you need is what you get.
