New wedge owner
Discussion
Hi folks,
Well I've done it and got myself a wedge! Had my eye on this wedge for some time now and plan to get her through mot next few weeks. Some of you may remember it as the 'Steiner' 450. Steiner being the engineering company along with Falcon Engineering who did the engine work back in the 90's. The cars expenditure I personally find staggering with just shy of £30,000 been spent on it over the years! So a shame to not get her on the road again and used as much as possible.
Apart from having the engineering companies logos plastered all over the car (Now all removed) She's sun bleached and been standing for a while however engine had been always turned over and consequently runs ok. She has a few electric gremlins at the moment which were the indicators (now replaced with new) and the headlight pods at the moment do not flip up however lights etc all work (will go through them tomo).
After a bit of graft she has actually polished up well and I have attached some photos before and after. The wheels do need doing next however the lattice style wheels I feel would look better along with new tyres and decals.
Has anyone on here owned her in the past?
Cheers.

Hi, I saw this car a few years ago at the Brightwells classic car auction here in Leominster. It didn't sell so good to see that it's still about and hopefully will be brought back to its former glory.
Here's a previous thread on the car https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Thanks, yes she pops up on google here & there. The acclaimed power 360bhp very unlikely however with the engine bills she's definitely been tweeked better than standard. Here's a previous thread on the car https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Done a spanking job there mate....the 280i was like that and some colour magic brought it back to a shine...that was just a in-betweenie though as I was going to get her re-sprayed...

Cheers, to be honest I was stoked she came up so well. Claybar arrived yesterday so will go over again and see what she looks like after that but she's a different car now and looks presentable. Interior needs cleaning and the door cappings..... they are shot! So make some new ones unless they can be ordered from somewhere?Ziga

Cheers.
