Hi all
Nipped up to anglia car auctions classic sale today. Bumped into Martin (hatter) while there and my son Callum bought himself this !!

So now we’re a 2 wedge family
Car needs some fettling - hood is u/s as are carpets. Paint good engine seems sound (NCK 69). Seats and door cards need some cleaning and tidying. Both doors need adjustment- the driver door is particularly bad.
I see a couple of months of fettling coming smile

The new Tvr was delivered Friday
Pretty much as expected- interior is in need of lots of tlc
Paint is pretty good
Engine seems ok mechanically idles and starts well
Engine bay needs a clean and some bling
Tyres are old and need replacing as does the soft top
All the electrics work including the headlamps !!!
Wheels could do with a refurb but that’ll wait for a while
Adjusted both doors and the door locks - all were loose and didn’t fit properly- much better now but some fine tuning required
Next job to get it up in the air and have a good poke around underneath
Couple of questions
1. Tyres - any preferences. ?? Currently on Yokohama’s but need replacing 225/50 r15
2 looking for any history on the car (reg E781XKJ) anyone know the car or of any previous owners - all info welcome - even If it’s bad !!!
Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

I did a bit of research on the car and put a commission bid in a bit below the winning bid, don't know if you have seen this when Brightwell's sold it at auction a few years ago, looks like the chassis may be sound smile I think your son did well.

Don’t seem to be able to find them in the right size (225/50R15)
Seem to be very little choice in that size Nankangs at the lower end of the price scale then toyos a bit further up then a massive jump up to Pirelli’s
More research needed I think

Nothing in paperwork to substantiate what’s claimed in the ad - might be on an invoice somewhere I’ll have to look more closely
- sorry for outbidding you !!! It was my sons final bid one more and he’d have left it so very lucky
Thanks Ron

Hi
I’ll have to check through the paperwork- got quite a lot with the car but don’t remember seeing anything about chassis work
I’ll report back
Good to hear from a previous owner- anything I should know about it ??? (Good or bad ) smile

Hi
Checked old paperwork but nothing to substantiate the claims made in Brightwells blurb - just mainly service stuff from Sebring international old mots and a couple of larger bills for the Stainless exhaust supply and fit and one for the immobiliser
There’s a print of a photo of a rear hub wishbones and rear chassis looking freshly painted but nothing to indicate what was done or by whom or even if it’s of this car !!!
Once I get it up on ramps at the weekend it might be more clear ....
