FHC mk1delay in both light pods raising.

Hi ,On initial morning start up and start up to drive home after work there's about a minute delay in both headlight pods raising after selection at switch.Other than those 2 times in between they operate straight away and as normal ! Any help appreciated.thanks

You need to first check that the bulbs are illuminating even though the pods aren't operating
If bulbs aren't illuminating you will need to check the side/head switch and if all is well check the column dip/main switch etc

If the bulbs are illuminating the first thing to check is the headlamp motor control circuit that consists of 2 diodes and a relay as shown here -

Hi,have pulled out the switch checked the connections and plugged in and out a few times.At the moment the lights come up straight away - will monitor over the coming week.dave
