Wanted - Rad for 350i

My Rad has sprung a leak and need to find out where the best place is to get a replacement....

Does anyone here have one spare??

Its a nosecone Rad i need, my cars a late one 89 on a G plate...

It's based on a LR unit IIRC, but with end tanks modified to suit TVR (hose connections/otter switch/brackets). Any of the Serck Intertruck (formerly Serck Marston) branches should be able to re-core it. Cheaper than buying a brand new one.

A re-core will save you a lot of potential heartache.

Where are you? Maybe someone near has had it done and can recomend a place for a re core.

I'm in Aylesbury, had a look on the Serck Intertruck website and we have a branch here in Aylesbury. Only problem is getting the Rad out as I dont have the facilites here at home.....

Well I can tell you how to do it, but unfortunately I'm nowhere near you to help.Probably the most difficult bits are (depending on your fan set-up) releasing the rad.from the brackets, and then refilling when it's back in to ensure all the air is out. It comes out from underneath BTW, although for some reason I once took one out from the top.If you've not done one before, I'd allow a couple of hours to get it out.

No garage or access to one? If the rad repairer is close then its not a bad job.

Its a reasonable job to do yourself with only a few tools, you'll need a basic socket set and some spanners to drop the front spoiler and then trolley jack and stands to get the front in the air high enough to unbolt the mounts and hoses, and then drop it out from underneath.
