I've been emailing TVR Parts for a quote inc shipping for a pair of rear wheel bearings and getting no reply.

Can anyone advise where else I can get these please? Thanks!

Hi Toby

As said above its a Ford Granada mk2 rear wheel bearing but with two seals per side not one....smile

https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&...
(As above)

I have used Jumblemaster and never had an issue, they will post overseas.

Hope this helps

Thanks Gents, I've ordered a pair from them. Jumblemaster do ship overseas, but you end up paying double shipping as they don't accept emails or messages to ask them to combine it when using the Ebay shop. Still cheaper than TVR Parts though...

And now, we wait.

For sellers who do that I place two orders a few days apart, which doubles the chance of at least one item arriving. Did you find the extra seal alright?

Aren't they both included? As says 'seals' and says the kit is for TVR (rather than Granada) so I took that to mean they have the extra seal. Zig have you had this bearing from them?

Hi Toby

There should be 2 x seals supplied....I have bought from Jumble master before but not the bearings...they are the same as all the others...

Fingers crossed, but the photo in his advert shows the same seals as in the Granada kit, and only one side will fit the wedge.

You can of course carefully extract the old seals, pick the best one, and as a temporary measure fit to the outer which is the easiest one to replace if you can get a new one later.

I find that the seals with the spring seal better than the hard rubber ones. It's more pot luck what you get there though.

Are the seals available separately? I ordered two bearings, so worst case I can do one properly.

Hi Toby

I was wrong as regards to the seal..you were right Adam, I found this post that Wedg1e wrote...(In great depth as always..smile )
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...

It was a while back so my apologies....Im sure you can buy two of the same seals.. 2 x inner IIRC.

I did find a seal supplier I think on Alibaba but I would have to order 10,000 units....

I'm no expert but the TVR parts photo looks like 2 of the same seals pictured from each side, as does the photo in Zig's link. If not then I might be up for 10,000 of the things from AliBaba and each forum member can have about 5 pairs each...

Thanks Adam, found two NOS on the Bay and bought them, so even if I don't need them, another wedge owner here probably will.

What was the auction? I saw a few on the flea but the pictures didn't look right (or were only from one side).

Also some of the old old ones are solid rubber, with no spring. They seal but not as well.

Well my bearings have arrived. The seals are identical to each other so hopefully they're okay. Getting fitted next week..

Looks like I have one on the way out will need doing shortly.

So I looked through my stash of parts and seems I have two styles, one like the above (with the plastic bits in) in a purple box with "KIT 053". This one comes with the standard Ford two different oil seals.

The others are older style with open gaps at the ends.

Tony, are your ones pre-packed with grease?
