Horns

Just spent 4 hours diagnosing horns not working. Fuse, relay, plugs horn push etc. Was just going to embark on further loom dismantling but checked the supply at the horns, yes 12v present. Removed both horns, no resistance on both. What's the chance of both going? Still didn't believe it but direct 12v applied to both, not a squeak. Cicuit is fine and checks out with a test lamp. Begs the question what happened in the past to knacker both? Car was been stored for 18 years🤔

Either-bad ground due to corrosion or more probably the car was running around with only 1 working tooting off key unnoticed. Eventually the second failed and now “the horn doesn’t work”. Just a thought
