Oil pressure sensor
Discussion
Where exactly is it ? Looks like mine may be dodgy. Oil pressure gauge is reading very low. Just above the bottom line. I'm pretty sure it's the gauge because after the 20 mile xxx mph run yesterday the engine would have been a pile of molten alloy !
I've had all the earths off and given them a clean but no luck. This has fixed the same problem in the past unless I was just lucky.

Yes mine reads on the low side as well (350i).
Be careful when fitting/removing the sender as you can quite easily destroy the brass thread.
As long as the warning light goes out then don't worry overly. A simple check is to see if the oil light flickers on slow tickover when very hot. That should correspond to between half and 3/4 bar on the guage.

Pressure sensors - don't go there!.
Best bet is to have a word with Neil at TVRcarparts.com he got mine after several weeks of me not getting very far....remember the thread? I think I talked to you about it over e-mail.
You have to match the sender to the gauge. Mine turned out to be the type fitted to early Griffs / V8S's and not the earlier type.
Changed it and everything worked fine.
