They all look good to me - make sure you don't lose the screws though 12 quid a set - jeez!

Sometimes though the friction material comes away from the backing especially if used in reverse. I have found you can superglue them together and the join will last for years. Not recommended for normal brakes though! Just handbrake pads.

Don't worry Stewart, when you order, you'll get a very special price quoted. ;^)

who needs handbrake pads? wink Isn't that what a brake and/or leaving it in gear is for. They only heat, break, fall out after a trackday anway frown
Unfortunately, MOT testers do tend to spot if they're missing!

Looking at a way to convert it to work on the rear brakes and do away with the handbrake calipers completely

When you have a set (either old or new) why not counter sink an aluminum rivet? Since they don’t wear you’ll never reach the rivet.

I thought that the conversion idea would be bad news - the handbrake is also supposed to be your emergency brake (yeah, I know...) in case all else fails.

To be honest it would be less expensive and much simpler to buy some fully reconditioned handbrake calipers. When the ratchet mechanism does work, it's very good, mine worked properly for 5 or 6 years on the 400SX and self-adjusted.

My second set of handbrake pads have just separated from the back plates. Any ideas on the best way to glue them together.

Superglue is fine.

If you clamp them in a vice or G glamp for 24 hours before refitting - or you can glue them in situ on the car and leave the handbrake on overnight it will clamp them together.

The heat on later use cures the adhesive even more.

I superglued one of mine and it's still on there a few years later.
