I've got a power steering leak from one of the metal pipes where they go into the pinion on the rack. The problem is that as far as I can see, they are so close to each other and surrounded by other pipework that it is impossible to get a spanner near them to tighten them. Is there a special tool for this or how do you get at them? TIA

only an idea, as i´m not so familair with this in detail:
the hoses have been pre-asselbled b4 the rack was mounted into the car.

so rack needs to be dismounted with hoses connected, just pump side disconnected

12 quid for a whole set isn't bad but as you only need one size you could cut'n'shut a ring spanner, I have chopped them about in the past and welded back together for special applications, chrome steel welds very easily with MiG.
