Headlights 450SE
Discussion
Not sure what they are from, but mine (square type)are sealed units so if the bulb goes will need to source some that have replacable bulbs
Probably find them at a Lucas dealer ?
Not sure what you suposed to do when you go abroad, as I have spare bulbs but they would be pretty useless !

oh - my square type headlamps are Cibie with replacable bulbs.
Uses the headlamp bulbs as dimdips when bumber mounted sidelights are on. The sidelight bulbholders in the Cibie units are fitted as blanks
Is that your set up Martin?
I must say, for tichy little square lamps the illumination they give on dip is excellent and full beam with the driving lights, superb.

That's My experience of Cibie lens design too

Well all I can say is that one of us needs to get our eyes tested as the lights on my 400se are usless. So much so that I almost never take it out in the dark.
Local garage commented on this the first time I took it in for an MOT.
Kenneth.

Yes. Mine are the same as yours, just got to identify model number, just replaced side light/indicator assembles on both side, they are Peugeot 505 in case anyone needs to know, just got to source the black rubberised mastic now.

Thanks Martin..didn't know that.
My indicator/side light lens units sit at an angle in the bodywork...not straight?? with mastic around the edges!
It's one of my 'to do' jobs. Do you know how are they fixed in placed? Bracket of some description?

Hi Wayne.
The light assembly is held in by mastic only no fixings, if you remove the headlamp, not the pod, you can disconnect the indicator bulb holder, then carefully cut the mastic, push the knife in deep, when cut push assembly from the back and it will pop out. Be careful as the side light wiring cannot be disconnected until the assembly is out, so on mine, if the side light bulb ever goes I have to remove the whole assembly. Each assemble is around £27.00
See you soon
Martin
