Well, just in case any of you want more of my exciting pictures, here we go, replaced the other outrigger and repaired a couple of chassis tubes to take it from this....

I should say that I'm very bored of painting now! It takes much longer than you'd think to paint a chassis.....2 coats done now. I think at least another one after this.

POR 15 is good stuff, but when it says it won't come off your hands, it means it. Many solvents were tried, all failed, my hands are now a silvery black, gloves are highly recommended :)

Razor blades do a good job of removing POR!!!

Dave, why didn't you put a returned edge on the top of the plates? It adds stiffness and must be good for at least 50 bhp..

That engine hauls like an express train. It'd be awesome in a wedge. Did SJEvans have to make any chassis mods to accomcdate the manifolds?

Oh heck - now you've got me thinking about putting one in my 280 (again).

The one on Wedgepages had special manifolds fabricated IIRC. He didn't say 'how much'.

POR is a range of paint mainly, sticks to anything and more resillient than the likes of Hammerite.
www.frost.co.uk By "coal scoop" I assume you mean the beer shelf? That's what the boot floor sits on.
