I'm looking to improve the braking on my wedge and having had the master cylinder apart before I was a bit surprised to find the piston is made in two pieces with a light spring between the pressure circuit of the front to rear with the rear circuit plumbed in first.
So the pressure on the rear brakes is partly responsible for generating pressure on the front. I've an inkling to replace the cylinder with one that has a conventional solid piston can anyone reccommend whats fitted to their wedge? Or I'll start rummaging down the scrappy.

I do know they've varied quite a bit over the years and I think mine is a TR7 one ( 1986 350i Series II).
