Wedges do Le Mans

Great turn out of wedges at Le Mans this year..

Hope you all got home safely and without incident.

The 35 degrees weather was quite a test of our cars.

My tool kit came out 3 times and never for my own car - mainly newer cars it must be said...

Great for me too

Did not see that many wedges over the weeekend, saw more on the return ferry - all six of us ?

Superb fun had by all, a nice 1000 mile trip with only one hiccup for me, was leaking water on the drive as we left due to a split hose caused by the bonnet opening up and down, resolved that and managed to cope with the high 30's on the larger engine with normal rad and fan !

Even managed to average 15 mpg for the trip, so not too bad considering the over loading and above average motorway speeds !

A great weeks racing and weather, plenty of wedges and great company too.
Despite re-coring the radiator, fitting new hoses and stat to prevent overheating I still boiled over exiting the corner at Arnage on Friday due to a busted fan motor!!!

Big thanks too all those who helped over the weekend with my knackered fan!

I was there in a Red 350i. I met Mr & mrs Reverend in the Supermarket car park in Arnage.

Flat out in 3rd through Rouen tunnel gave me a hard on and perforated eardrums.

The car behaved perfectly, though the top of my head is now rather crispy!!

Looking forward to next year already.

Tunnels (or IKEA underground car parks)......2nd, then 3rd, then blip, blip and then 2nd and then finally 3rd and 4th as you blast out the other side on full reheat

It's a 4?0 SE now as I've now got a Chim 4.5BV engine in there

So nearly a SEAC !!

Not sure where it came from originally but will look in docs when I can find them !

Anyone own F685 AWT to make the complete set ?
