Does anyone know the correct fan fitted to late 400SE ?
Make & Part numbers together with where to obtain one would be handy.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

PS can it be fitted without dropping the rad?

My 89 400 had a Davies Craig fan (Australian) which I replaced the motor on 2 yrs. ago. Very good sevice from www.mawsolutions.com/

Cost me £90 all in, and they order them direct from Aus. which only takes a few days. Just had a quick look at it and its a four blade affair, blades c. 11" across. The motor internals tend to disintigrate eventually, so you don't need to buy a complete fan unit. Not necessary to remove the rad., should have eneough access from below, or alernatively, remove the bonnet.

Hope the temp was ok for you, sorry we could not fix it. If only I'd bought my spare fan along.

Cheers for the hose, going to tackle that when the sun eventually goes in !

Mike will happily take up offer of your spare fan (let me know damage) but have just discovered that good old BTYahoo have been F****ing around with e-mail security issues and I can no longer send emails at all and incoming mail is very intermittent!!! Spent 2 hours today trying to sort it but to no avail
Jeff has a mobile number for me p`raps you can contact me via that?

B-bloddy-T email tell me about it.

Your incoming POP3 e-mail should be fine but if you use BT's SMTP servers for your out going mail then will will need a proper account with them.

It has caused havoc. I cannot send mail from my 'proper' mail account either I can just receive it. Will have to stick to my yahoo jobbie for a while.

Regarding the fan, let me know fella.
