HI,
I have tried a few places including custom built exhausts.
However I thought I would put a shout out on here.
Does anyone have a reasonable priced exhaust for a 350i.

Regards

@ChrisW500

Thanks for the reply, I had come across that one.
I think a custom exhaust may be cheaper than that set.

Cheers

@KKson
Thanks for the recommendation.
I am based in Essex, I think that may be a little too far to travel.
Many thanks for your reply though.

I have a estimate of about 400 quid from a fairly localish garage.

I think I may be able to make one myself from sections. The only hard part is the up and over section at the passenger rear.

@Chrisw500

I have done all the google searches and some. Even a few breakers.
I have read through old posts on here as best I could to try and glean the obscure.
Yes have been in contact with Dean at Pipercraft they gave a rough quote of £600 plus. There are a couple of these custom exhaust builders in Basildon.
The £400 quoted was Fastlane Styling based out of Romford.

I have no idea what to expect to pay, and was kind of hoping for a second user one, just to keep me going for a while.
Mainly it is the drivers manifold that has broken and been bodged. I was given a set of second user manifolds that I can use.
I was thinking interim of adding a flexi pipe to the the broken side.
The middle box seems fairly new. However the rest of the pipes seem to be on the cusp

Cheers

This is what I have done. I got rid of the "up and under" section and instead go straight under the diff. It doesn't ground there because the wheels keep it off the deck.I upped everything to 3" = 76mm pipe.

Sections from an outfit on fleabay in stainless are great, they are called "everyexhaustpart".

If you chop the end off the manifold and weld on a stainless straight with a preformed flange it will last ages. Tack weld in place with the manifold on the car and bolted to the centre box and at least on a couple of exhaust port studs.

For exhaust clamps I made my own using stainless bar probably 1.5mm x 15-20mm, bent into a U, drill the ends, and a straight M8 bolt through it. As I am tight!

All you need then is a centre box which are pretty standard, apart from the pipes going in, as they are staggered and offset, but it should be not too difficult to make a 2 into 1 box.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the reply. I have been toying with the thought building my own. However my welder as seen better days and does not work at all well nowadays.
I will have to get underneath and have a good look to see what goes, and assess your suggestion.

Many thanks

With the parts you can buy, put together, use your dodgy welder to do the tack welds, then take them somewhere for the full weld, it will be quite cheap still.

Yep you are correct, certainly something to look into.
I hope this rain stops so as I can get out in it. Then worry about the exhaust when SORN over the winter period perhaps, unless it falls off before.
