My car has been attacked again! I've had a wheel centre badge taken.

I have looked on the Wedge epistles, but that doesn't seem to be the solution I'm looking for. I do remember that someone had some made a while back. Are any of these still available?

cheers!

Theres always some on ebay. These for example:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36677&item=7982383818&rd=1

I'm not sure if they will fit or if they are correct for your car, but I'm sure you could make something out of them! Theres normally a few sets on there from various sellers, so have a look about.

I hope youve been well recently and I hope to see you soon!

Dan.

There is a very good idea / suggestion on the TVR Wedge Pages Web Site on this very subject written by a Matthew Wycherley in the maintainance section.
Might save you a few bob as well.

[ yoda_mode on ] find them easily you will not [ yoda_mode / off ].

These babies are scarce, also on the 350i lattice wheels there are two different types slightly different so if you do find any for sale on ebay or whatever make sure they are the correct ones.

Make a note of the code moulded on the inside of the cap and make sure that matches before putting any bids on.

You could also try somebody like Moore racing to see if they have any left over from converting the Tasmin racers wheels over.

I have seen a set of good condition caps on ebay go for more than a set off lattice wheels and caps! so keep an eye out.

I may have a couple of spare lattice wheel caps in my desk draw that are going spare, I will have a looksee. I was gonna raffle 'em at the BBWF!

I'll join in the raffle Mike!

But I would like to come to BBWF with my car in reasonably presentable condition - so what happened to those wheel centre badges that someone was having made some time ago?

Thanks Dan (digga) - just had a little tinkering done to the old ticker and am aiming to get to BBWF after all! Yeeehaaaaa!

What does a 'proper' lattice wheel cap look like ?

My 280i lattice wheels (compomotive), just have black plastic cup thingies with compomotive badges, screwed onto the wheels centres to cover the grease cap.

With regards Wheel centre transfers (stick on ) there is no need to pay the extortionate prices asked for by people on eBay - they are readily available from the TVR owners club for 80 pence each. The club also do T slot badges for £4 each although I've not seen these. They used to do the pots as well (I bought a complete set recently and I think they were £4 each) but I can't see them on their site at the moment

I bought some of these, they are most excellent and the price is outstanding.
Top quality, great service and what ever size you want plus you get 5

I'm still puzzled by this.

The Wyncherly article may suit, but I do remember someone was having some of these badges made about a year or so ago. Anyone recall?

What's puzzling?

The article on the wedge site refers to replacing the TVR 280i/350i lattice type wheel centre badges.

At the time, there weren't any after market stickers to be had on ebay and all you could get was the TVR ones.

They stopped making the OZ centre cap badges some time prior to this don't forget (the metal dish type badges).

Matthew managed to obtain newer TVR wheel/steering wheel TVR badges - intended for Griffiths/Chimps etc and by filling up the void behind the badge (where the dished older badge would have sat) with some hard setting compound he attached the newer domed TVR badge to cover all this up....as you can see from the pictures in the article on the wedgesite.

The bigger stickers are intended for cars with the four spoke OZ wheels 400's etc. There are some differences in these also sizewise so obviously this guy on ebay is catering for your particular needs by offering different sizes.

The domed badges I would have thought would be better for the lattice centre caps as the void behind the badge has to be filled with something so it lays flat. The guy on Ebay mentions that his badges can be shaped but i don't know how would this look on a convex shape a'la 350i wheel caps.

Article anybody???
