Hi, has anyone ever found hard wearing product to re-colour vinyl trim? I've tried using some Furniture Clinic leather paint as a temporary measure but it seems to remain sticky and does wear off.

Have you tried Woolstenholme's stuff? It's good on leather, they might do one that also works on vinyl.

Alternatively do what I did and find panels in leather. I swapped out my vinyl centre console for a leather one, so I have 3/4 hide now, just the door panels to do.

Hi Adam, thanks. The stuff I've used looked good but always feels sticky even after a few months and doesn't wear well. In fairness it's really for leather. Will investigate other product. Thanks J C

Have used this stuff in the past with decent results.

I am sure other vinyl paint options are around vs leather

I used Furniture Clinics kit to recolour my dash, and all blue trim on the seats plus handbrake and gear gaiter and had no issues with wear or stickyness. Did you use the air brush and top clear coat after you recoloured??

Yes Keith, Air Brushed finish with Furniture's matt finish lacquer. Doesn't look too bad but perhaps I should have been a little more brutal preparing the surface? Taking more of the original colour off.

Hi John

Sorry it is a bit late, FC do a vinyl recoloring kit which is for vinyl, using one for leather on vinyl will come off.
