Insured after a lapse during lockdown. But I'm sure there was more petrol in it when I put it away???

It was dry on the way to work, so the power went down nicely, then rained during the day, which was great because it washed off 6 months of garage dust!

Going home was "interesting" due to slippery road and not having been used to that much power for quite some time, got some squirly action on a couple of on-ramps!

But - everything worked. After the lay-up the only issue was 3psi needed in one tyre. I made sure I got it up to 2000rpm straight away after starting to get the oil circulating.

Well done for flying the flag Adam. I still regularly use one of the Wedges to work but it's less than 20 minutes down some great twisty country lanes. I still lurk here in PH and check it most days. Having 3 private FB groups is doing my head in, especially when some individuals copy the same message to all three sites at the same time. Very irritating.

Interesting thread. I inspected the weahter in the UK and it's not far of from here. It seems that using your wedge in these conditions is worht mentioning. There was this video from Sam van Dalen (he is a smart advertisment car dealer in the Netherlands) about a guy "who let's the child out" check in your coffee break: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZNYVbMP-uU
Why is it special to use the wedge (or any other fun car), if you ask the guy in the video, it's stupid not to.... *John grabs his coat*

Yes very few use their Wedges as the day car. Adam is one of the few to generally use it daily in all weathers and busy traffic. Most people owning such a rare car (400SX) would use it at dry weekends and take it off the road for 6 months in October. The amount of salt that is spread on our UK roads in the winter is very high, causing a lot of issues with rust.

agree, but nog sign of winter/salt yet. Personally, i think using a classic car (or any) regular, including some rainy rides, is probably better for the car than keeping it garaged if there is any change on bad weather.

Agree about the salt, which is what is doing the outriggers in, yes I have the stainless tube to replace then, so I shall be salt-proof!

@John, just watched the film, yes that's funny, I drove a 308 once on a Ferrari experience day near Oxford.

It took me an hour to get there in the 350i, and an hour to get back.

The 350i was quicker than the 308!

But I understand the sentiment.
