Anyone driven the pinto version? Does it still feel like a wedge, or is it more restrained?

you want to restore this car?

chassis -refurb, new paint, interior refurb, technical refurb....and removing this unspeakbale sunroof....

even its a rare car...rare does not automatically mean valuable.

so what is it worth? not much.....the pinto engine maybe 200,-€pound.....the diff maybe 200,-pound....the rest? most of it hazardous waste.

Had to chuckle at the comment he's added:

THE CAR UNDERNEATH IS SOLID AND NO NEED WEELDING

even freshly mot-ed cars might have shot outriggers....

this said: back to Pinto:

fact is: the Pinto is an easy to tune engine...far better and easier than the v6 injected ones.
ford cologne v6´s were always a bit asthmatic...the injection one has lack of torque in mid range (could be sorted by converting to carbs)

a reasonably tuned Pinto engine will drive circles around a standard v6 powered car
downside of pinto: the v6 sounds better....at least the sound matches better to the "design" of a Wedge.
