BBWF Breaking News !
Discussion
Just a few things ..
Firstly - Ettington chase tell me : They have 4 rooms left ..
Next : We have booked 120 for the BBQ - so we will be starting around 18:30 (as last year was a bit too late ..) .. could well be the TVR social event of the year :)
I have also 'pre-ordered' around 30 rolls / sandwiches - but it would be a fine idea if people bought picnics (more fun) - as there are plenty of grounds to enjoy them !
Charity / Raffles / Traders prizes : we have debated long and hard about the best way of doing this and have come up with :
We will support Jeff Morgan's chosen Charity of Systic Fibrosis - Jeff fill us in with full details if you will.
We will also be giving 'raffles tickets' to all who attend the wedge fest .. free.
The general idea being that everyone gets a fair chance of winning the prizes and you can donate as much as you feel happy with to Jeff's chosen charity..
Please give generously as he is jumping off a 200ft wall :yikes:
We will also have the concours with a prize but no prizes if you trailer you fully polished car to the event :D but it goes without saying the judges are bribable at the bar :hehe:

Oh 'eck. Cheers. Thanks and much gratitude are in order. OK, my niece has cystic fibrosis. Because of her I am doing the abseil. I don't want to tug on the heart strings but some info. Check out the site and see what they do.
The abseil is at the Chepstow national dive center and should be a big event. 200' and Speilberg aka LInda will be on hand with stills and motion so it should be a scream....hopefull not with loaded Y fronts and faster than the rope will allow.
Again, I cannot say thankyou enough. Most unexpected.

Rev - what do you mean by having pre ordered rolls and sandwiches , is this to do with the picnic or the barbie?
When we arrive 12.. ish - people will be hungry ..
Hopefully most will bring a picnic .. but I have arranged for Ettington to cater for at least 30 who don't bring anything.. as it was a bit hit and hiss with the sandwiches last year
Had some more bad news from Seamus - Vicky Butler Henderson has turned us down again
Oh well - her loss

Rev - clear on rolls/ sandwiches now , as far as barbie is concerned sounds like fun for the people doing the cooking !! Could do with music as well but I suppose it would be against Hotel rules? Thinking of Floyd/ The Who at wedge decibel levels ?!!
Seeing as they have had a bit of practice latley maybe we could get them to do a live set.....I'm sure Roger Waters would love to do the BBWF!!!
Paul the Wedge Support vehicle (WSV) sounds great....will have to come around and have a look...and if there are no rooms on the the night I'm sure you could hire it out to some one and make a few quid!!!

You bought a burger van
[/quote] No I'm making a burger van ! Well that's what the neighbours are thinking, prime position on the edge of my house to make a killing in Kebabs and burgers, but alas I'm doing a self build camper from a V8 ambulance.
So it may even be TVR powered one day if I ever get round to rebuilding the 4.0 that went last year at BBWF
