Hmm...I don't exactly understand what I'm looking at there. But I'm pretty sure I'd like one. Is this a Tiv that never made it, or does somebody have this car?
Yes nice dash.

If I remember rightly, it was a motor show car that did not make it as the public reaction was not favourable, so TVR went back to the drawing board and out came the Griff. The rest as they say is History.

I think the prototype Griffith appeared at the same motorshow, and nobody would look at a wedge after that!
Ironically, although it looks like a nice clean 'integrated' shape, I think it looks a bit tame after the angular aggression of the 400SEs et al. But I've always liked it (and the other Speed 8 that was slightly different!)

Wedg1e, I think you are right about the Griff prototype being at the same show.

However, I have always liked the "white elephant" FHC prototype that Peter Wheeler used to drive around in. It had a V8 from Holden in Australia to power it along and a special seat for PW's Dog.

Last time I saw it, it was at the Factory as part of a display on a "Back home" visit. There was the original speed 12 motorshow car, the speed six prototype car, the "white Elephant" and the last "S" model ever made.

Does anyone know what has happened to the white elephant ?

I saw the Holden V8 wedge at Team Central in Brimingham about 7 years ago. It looked very neglected.

Hi there - yes I've just bought it!

Will be spending the next 22 months restoring it to it's former glory - will then take it on tour across the UK for all to see...

Howard,

I would really appreciate it if you could send me some more detailed pics of the car so I can put an article together on it.

If you would like to put together a few words or a series of articles charting your progress I can put them online for you on the TVRwedgepages Website.

I would be very interseted in this project.

Can't believe it - you lucky lucky lucky (in the nicest terms )- always understood that the factory wouldn't let it go.. glad to hear that someone finally managed to pries it off them. That is one fantastic wedge.. Good luck with the restoration and certainly keep us updated with progress.

Been underneath it tonite and it looks quite tidy. The car has only done 24002 miles, so apart from sitting in the TVR graveyard for 5 years with the back window out it's not too bad... but if I were to tell you where the dipstick & dizzy were you just wouldn't believe me!...

Yes will do - off to BBWF in the 400SE on Saturday just for the day - so should be able to get something over to you for Monday if that's ok...

Fair play mate! Can't wait to see it (and hear it!) at some point

Will be taking the car on tour all over the UK after Peter Wheeler has given it his official blessing... so if you fancy being co-pilot for a few miles then be my guest!

Do you have many fillings??
