FHC letterbox rear window ......

Morning all,

Has anybody changed / re sealed the long rectangular window at the back of a coupe ?

It's ' one ' of the places that's leaking so I was going to attempt to pop in out, clean out all the mastic / silicone etc and seal it back in again :)

Well, that's the plan anyway ......

Just a wee bit worried about pushing it out :(

Don't bust it! They are EXPENSIVE.

Contact tvrparts and get a new rubber seal, then cut the old (top) seal - then take the window out..

If you have not put a glass in before - I would recommend getting a fitter to do it..

The glass ( from memory ) appears to just be ' stuck ' in, and not like the usual rubber seal that comes over the top of it.

You can see the edge of the glass all the way round.

Maybe it's been bodged before and stuck in rather than using the correct rubber seal ?

Has anyone got / had one with a proper seal round ?

Mine was stuck in with black mastic/gunge. I removed it by running a knife blade around from inside, then pushed a wire through and ran that round. Watch your paint though
